” I was part of a pool of learners that were interviewed and assessed by CTC for a possible apprenticeship with the mines late 1996. I got appointed by Kleinkopje Colliery in Jan 1997, and as part of my probation, I did my phase 1 training which I completed in April and was then contracted as an 18.2 apprentice. I completed my training and wrote my trade test in the year 2000.

I was appointed as an outside service electrician for RLT in December 2000 and later was moved to KK plant trainee.

My career path has been as follows: I left KK and worked for Emalahleni Municipality in 2004 as an electrician and started at ELM. I moved from ELM in 2005 and worked as an underground electrician at Goodehoop Colliery.

I left GH in 2006 and worked as an electrical training officer at ESTC until 2013, I was promoted to Coordinator of the electrical workshop in May 2013 until 2019.

I left ESTC in 2019 and worked for CTC as a training officer to date.
